We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Alternatives Operations Manager, Private Credit.

Principal Responsibilities

The Alternative Investments Operations Team is responsible for the global investment operations function comprising transaction and trade services, portfolios operations, product/portfolio oversight for all alternative investment products.  Reporting to the Head of Alternatives Operations, Hong Kong, as the Alternative Operations - Manager you will support the operations of the Direct Asset products which include Private Credit (Direct Lending loans, Infrastructure Debt, Revolving Credit, Trade Finance) in the form of funds and mandates in Asia.

In this role you will

  • Be responsible for management and oversight of investment operation activities with a focus on Private Credit
  • Work on transaction & trade execution, review of legal documents, transaction administration & compliance, investment restrictions monitoring with a risk centric emphasis
  • Assist in the design & delivery of new products, structuring, operating models & set-up of operational infrastructure for new & complex products, equalisation calculations
  • Be responsible for  valuation & performance oversight; NAV review, valuation support for hard-to-value assets, carry interest & waterfalls, income reconciliations, ECL & amortisation calculations
  • Oversee liquidity & treasury management including cash flows analysis (calls, distributions & cash forecasting); credit and overdraft facilities, hedging and FX operations
  • Contribute to reporting linked to portfolio and investor, tax and audit support. You will also be responsible for the implementation of regulatory and tax changes, implementing financial crime compliance & control, support business continuity, executing Operational Risk Management Framework, design and maintenance of procedures and policies consistent with controls
  • Contribute to oversight of service providers and supporting Investor services (RFP, queries management), due diligence questionnaires
  • Work on pricing portfolio positions & benchmarking
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Degree qualification, preferably in finance 
  • Professional qualifications are desirable: CAIA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA 
  • Extensive experience in alternative investment products and supporting activities. Private Credit experience is essential. Exposure to open ended funds structure within Alternatives capabilities is a distinct advantage
  • Exposure to working knowledge of mandates and fund structuring
  • Experience in leading operational procedures, system change and improvement, previous exposure to Private Credit investment solutions would be considered
  • High attention to detail, ability to manage complex situations with different types of stakeholders
