The Analyst, Global Relationship Banker – FIG, will be a key member of the team that manages relationships with a group of North American Banks, Broker Dealers, Fintechs, and other Financial Institutions.  You will be responsible for supporting global business origination, implementation, and retention, and for helping manage credit and financial crime risk for those clients.  You will also work in close partnership with regional relationship bankers and product partners (Transaction Banking, Securities Services, Capital Markets, Structured Finance, Global Markets, Asset Management) to ensure delivery of HSBC’s product and services.

 

Here’s what you can expect:  As a Global Relationship Banker you will proactively develop an understanding of our clients' operating models and business needs and identify solutions that HSBC can deliver to help meet their challenges and objectives. This will include working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that transactions balance risk, return, and profitability, and comply with both internal and external requirements.  A key objective in this role is to develop and institutionalize effective and beneficial relationships, including at the C-suite level, with key buying windows at our clients and internally within HSBC.  You will support the broader FIG coverage team in their objectives, helping drive revenue generation against targets, new business pitches. product alignment, client planning, client briefings, and customer satisfaction.

 To be successful in this role you will be a collaborative teammate, but also a self-starter who is able to work independently with an entrepreneurial drive. Your extensive experience in Transaction Banking, Securities Services, Capital Markets, Structured Finance, Global Markets, and Asset Management will be demonstrated by a proven ability to identify and execute successful opportunities. Your knowledge of the Bank and Fintech industries and their unique dynamics will allow you to be a trusted advisor to clients. It will be important to have a deep understanding of risk management & mitigation, effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to form effective relationships and exercise influence at the most senior level of the organization, both internally and externally.

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $100,000.00 and $110,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Self-starter, able to work independently with an entrepreneurial drive
  • Extensive experience in markets, securities services, structured finance, transaction banking and asset management will be demonstrated by a proven ability to identify and execute successful opportunities.  Strong understanding of risk management and risk mitigation
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to form effective relationships and exercise influence at the most senior level of the organization, both internally and externally
  • This role requires Securities/FINRA licenses: 79 and 63, SIE
