We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Asia Fixed Income Investment Specialist.

Principal Responsibilities

The role is focused on supporting HSBC Asset Management’s award winning and market leading Asia fixed income capability as an advocate and ambassador of the investment team. The role will define the sales and marketing narrative, communicating effectively to key stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Serve as a proxy portfolio manager with clients, regulators, senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Provide regular and topical market and strategy updates to clients as well as sales and marketing teams in the form of written reports, ad hoc written responses, verbal interaction and Powerpoint presentations
  • Generate ideas for thought pieces and effective communication
  • Attend and participate in client meetings
  • Contribute to product development and launches
  • Understand and articulate the competitive positioning of the capability and product set
  • Contribute to business strategy thinking and direction in relation to the Asia Fixed Income franchise
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as; HSBC Clients, Global Fixed Income Investment Teams, Global Sales, Client Service, Marketing and Product
Requirements
  • University degree holder
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English
  • 8 years experience preferably working with Asian Bond Markets
  • Must be able to manage challenging deadlines
  • Be able to work independently when needed
  • Adapt to changing situations
  • Understand a broad range of strategies, asset classes and markets
  • Prioritise, delegate and escalate where appropriate
  • Confidently appear as an expert in front of clients and internal stakeholders
  • Comment intelligently upon and raise business strategies
