We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President, Actuarial, Health Pricing and Portfolio Management.
Principal Responsibilities
- Assist management in achieving business goals through financial assessments and efficient pricing strategies
- Provide monitoring updates on business performance and profitability trends to senior stakeholders. This includes inflation studies, actual vs expected studies for all products, understanding the key profitability/loss drivers and providing recommendations
- Lead the technical pricing for Integrated Shield Plans, Individual Health and Employee Benefits products. Ensure compliance requirements are met and accurate system implementation
- Manage data for pricing, analytical and monitoring purposes
- Ownership of the Employee Benefits pricing tool with the objective of continuously improving it in terms of technical accuracy and efficiency
- Support Employee Benefits Large Quotation Review which exceeds underwriters' authority limit. Provide financial assessments for various company initiatives such as campaigns
- Independent learner with strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Experience with Prophet, Emblem, Excel VBA and/or SQL/Python is a bonus
- Sharp communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of planning and problem solving
- Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with key stakeholders
- University graduate in a relevant discipline for example Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics
- At least 4 years of relevant actuarial experience
