We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President

Business- Risk Compliance

Principal responsibilities

This role will entail oversight, project management & planning, thought leadership & hands-on contribution on 

  • Development / review / enhancement of Originations / Account Management /Collections & Recovery strategies across Secured/unsecured portfolio including International customers and BNPL customers as alternate lending.
  • Deployment support & post implementation review of strategies.
  • Understand business requirements to develop MI/ design framework to monitoring strategies which provide appropriate insights and support the business with meaningful recommendations, based on portfolio trends, market landscape and macroeconomic scenario 
  • Support on campaign / growth initiatives.
  • Delivery of regulatory requirements and participate in industry level benchmarking activities which will need awareness of the industry position/new initiatives. 
  • Portfolio deep-dive / adhoc analysis / data investigations & reconciliation. 
  • Liaising with stakeholders in Risk / Products / Finance/Operations as required.
  • Functional guidance, project management and coaching, as well as line Management of existing team. 
  • Negotiation with / expectation management of stakeholders on complex open-ended business problems along with coordinating with the appropriate stakeholders on any analytical requirements to project manage day to day activities, and ensure adherence to regulatory and governance standards.
  • Keep self updated of changes in the business / regulatory environment on an ongoing basis, so as to be able to anticipate customer needs, and support non-BAU projects / ad-hoc analysis as relevant, ensuring key takeaways are clearly articulated.
  • Develop presentations that are “Business Ready”, to appropriately showcase the work done by the team, with appropriate story-telling and insightful interpretation of trends
  • Critically evaluate process requirement, and streamline / automate / standardize accordingly, to bring in effectiveness and gain efficiency. Ensure release of target bandwidth.
  • Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable. Take timely action on Audit comments and be able to demonstrate compliance with Internal controls. Enhance, implement & monitor the BRCM framework within the team and populate MSIIs, to ensure all high risk items are identified / addressed to minimize BAU operational losses
Requirements
  • At least 6+ years of Analytics Experience with prior experience in managing risk activities in retail lending
  • Prior experience in development of acquisition/account management/collections & recovery strategy, strategic analysis, portfolio monitoring and insight analysis, BNPL lending strategies and portfolio management would be preferred.
  • Excellent quantitative & technical aptitude. Ability to solve open-ended business problems.
  • Proven leadership track record in dynamic/changing marketing environments
  • Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Hands on experience in SAS, Python, SQL and GCP
  • B.Tech or Masters or Ph. D. degree in either Economics, Statistics, Engineering or any quantitative area or MBA (with quantitative background)
  • Relevant experience in analytics specifically in the fields like Credit Risk Strategy Development, vintage profitability modeling, Portfolio Insights/MI etc.
  • Prior experience with development of acquisition risk strategy (Approve/Decline), account management strategy or strategy analysis and portfolio management would be preferred. Exposure to PowerCurve would be a plus.
