We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist. 

Business: Enterprise Technology L3

Principal responsibilities

Product Support:

  • Serve as the first point of contact/SME for all DWP technical issues, troubleshooting, and user inquiries.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to DWP, discussing complex issues with vendor teams when necessary.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.

System Configuration and Optimization:

  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize the platform for improved usability and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with AppSpace Beezy updates, new features, and best practices to ensure the organization is leveraging the platform to its fullest potential.
  • Drive compliance with all HSBC Cloud internal policies and engineering standards across cloud infrastructure, security, and DevOps practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, HR, and department heads, to align Digital Workplace functionality with business goals.
  • Gather feedback from users to identify pain points and recommend improvements.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and Digital Workplace support and development team.
Requirements

Technical Skills/ Hands-on Experience:

  • Proven experience designing and managing Azure-based cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Proven experience in SharePoint architecture, design, and administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS (Azure SQL, Azure AD, Networks).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code solutions (Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and experience with Azure Automation.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, Git version control.
  • Knowledge of cloud cost optimization, monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
  • Experience with Solr/Solr Cloud is a plus.
  • Familiarity with public website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore) is a plus.
  • Experience in intranet design and implementation is a plus.
