We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.
Business: Wholesale Technology.
Principal responsibilities
- Front to back ownership of delivery of a product (from requirement to production)
- Provides value during production incidents even for things that they haven't necessarily been involved in coding
- Breaking down a programme of work into manageable deliveries
- Expertise in design and development of a significant application/business domain
- Writes & owns standards
- Continues to contribute to code and reviews other's code for best practice
- Be able to solution design and make judgement calls about adoption of tech debt
- Apply experience to identify most important parts of a problem
- Has a technical vision and can define a strategy of how to change a product to reach the vision
- Ability to step into the critical production issues and identify the root cause
- Helps remove impediments to team's productivity
- Builds trusted relationships with the business and has a good appreciation of the business domain they work in
- Develops talent within the team and helps create opportunities for junior team members
- Ability to build a case explaining benefits to address technical debt / platform improvement
Requirements
- A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in software engineering, with a strong track record in enterprise application development
- Proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies, and Microsoft Power Platform, such as React, Angular, TypeScript, .Net, Java, Node.js
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, such as Canvas App, Model driven App, Power automate flow, PCF
- Expertise in Cloud platform (e.g. Azure or GCP), including cloud-native application design and development
- Strong experience with API design and integrations
- Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns, microservices, and system integration
- Proficient in working with relational and NoSQL databases
- DevOps mindset with experience in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerization
- Ability to lead by example in code quality, security, and performance optimization
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative, agile mindset
- Experience in mentoring engineers and drive technical decision and improve productivity in cross functional teams
