We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

 

Business: GTS Technology

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Project Management: Provide financial insights and quotations for project planning, from requirements gathering to production support. Present features using a well-structured storytelling model to ensure clarity and engagement.
  • Technical Management: Oversee the technical aspects of the team, ensuring the technology stack is up-to-date, managing technical debt, and making strategic decisions about the direction of the technology used by the team. This includes creating and managing technology roadmaps, leading cross-functional technical initiatives, and ensuring compliance with technical standards and best practices.
  • Production Stability Management and Support: Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems by managing production stability. Handle incidents, resolve issues promptly, and implement measures to prevent future disruptions. Provide top-tier support to maintain system availability and performance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders, managing expectations and aligning IT initiatives with business goals to maximize customer and business interests. Provide regular updates and detailed reports to stakeholders and senior management
  • People Management: Lead and manage agile teams of 10+ staff. Coach and guide teams to ensure high-quality deliverables, providing clear direction, feedback, and timely suggestions.

Requirements
  • Minimum 12+ years in software development, with a focus on Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Proven experience leading agile, cross-functional teams and managing production support and incident management.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts, DevOps, and Agile Control Framework.
  • Proficiency in managing technical environments, setting future technology directions, and ensuring compliance with technical standards..
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent, motivating staff to achieve optimal performance and career growth.
  • A passion for technology and a proactive approach to bringing new ideas to the team.
