Role Purpose
ICG Coverage is a key component within the Global Banking (GB) business is responsible for the overall management of relationships across all sectors in Asia.

As a member of the team, the successful candidate will be an account owner & support the wider ICG franchise through actively managing the risk in the portfolio and driving business growth while working with multiple stakeholders.

Report to: Director, ICG Client Risk (Regional) / Managing Director & CEO (TW)

Reporting directly to the CEO of the Securities Broker and functionally into the ICG Regional head of Client Risk Management, responsibilities of the successful candidate include:


  1. Be Account Owner to profitable long-term client relationships within ICG Sector
  2. Provide quality day-to-day account management to clients in assigned portfolio and build effective relationships with key individuals in the clients’ organisations.
  3. Ensure that the Group's exposure to the Sector and associated systemic risks are appropriately monitored and controlled. Ensuring that adverse reports and news on existing clients are followed up. Reviewing and following up on exception reports, as well as internal and external audit reports.
  4. To manage the assigned ICG portfolio in providing quality services to clients in a cost-effective way, while maintaining solid credit quality and comprehensive Customer Due Diligence/KYC standards while achieving maximum portfolio returns.
  5. Provide assistance to ICG members, Global Markets Sales & GB executives as required. Liaise with regional counterparts acting as central point of contact for local matters.
  6. Drive revenue growth in the portfolio.
  7. Contribute to the compilation and implementation of individual client plans to enhance regional and local returns.
  8. Act as a primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues and assist the global account owners/managers.
  9. Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal & external rules, regulations & procedures that apply to the conduct of GB & Client’s business.
  10. Undertake the preparation of relevant analysis, proposals, credit applications and reviews as required.

Qualifications
  1. University graduate above
  2. With relevant banking experience will be advantage
  3. Proven achievement in leadership/management roles including portfolio management skills
  4. Solid credit and relationship management experience with good understanding of treasury & capital markets products.
  5. Knowledge of industry and exposure to Asia Pacific, local market & regulatory environment.
  6. Preferably knowledge of HSBC Group and products coupled with a strong network of contacts across business areas.
  7. Advanced understanding of risk management, risk mitigation and Client Due Diligence risks.
  8. Excellent team player with a proactive approach and strong interpersonal, sales and communication skills.
  9. Highly motivated, eager to accept new challenges and able to work under pressure.
  10. Strong ability to multitask with a keen eye for detail.
  11. Excellent command in written and spoken English. Other language abilities would be a distinct advantage.
