We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist
In this role you will:
- Lead for Python, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Genkins and DevOps skills
- Technical SME for Infrastructure automation and associated technologies
- Responsible for infrastructure automation across regions
- Responsible for navigating across HSBC infrastructure teams and structures, able to communicate with all levels from engineers to management
- You will own delivery of the work assigned and drive it to successful completion right from requirement gathering till defect resolving and quality product delivery into markets.
- Owning technical challenges, researching solutions and implementing best practices across the Global Engineering community, ensuring technical alignment with other Global programmes
- Implementing technical standards / governance across the engineering teams and promoting the use of tooling, Cloud environments and automated testing throughout the engineering life cycle
- Work within the scrum team to drive the technical roadmap for all channels and service fulfilment
- Proven track record in designing, developing and deploying applications. Hands-on experience with Unix, Git, Jenkins
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience on Automation using Python, Shell, Ansible , Terraform, Cloud SDK
- AWS Cloud Architect or Consultant with a deep understanding of AWS services and technologies.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and data management.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, configuration management).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Knowledge about AI/ML
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of financial services industry regulations and compliance requirements.
