We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Financial Crime Risk Manager - Emerging Risk and Control - WPB NFR UTILITY BFCR.

Principal responsibilities

  • Assist the implementation of Operation Risk Management Framework and support management to identify regulatory & internal policy changes for continuous risk identification and control monitoring; Assist to engage stakeholders as required (including but not limited to Subject Matter Experts, other Chief Control Office teams, Onshore Stakeholders, Global Function, etc.); Assist to engage stakeholders as required (including but not limited to Subject Matter Experts, other Chief Control Office teams, Onshore Stakeholders, Global Function, etc.)
  • Work as 2nd Level approver to Enhance Due Deligence profiles. Continuously drive the enhancement of profile quality.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables through regular process checks and review of output, and apply adequate professional judgement and expertise in daily work.
  • Collect and maintain information and data for ongoing risk control and monitoring, document appropriately in internal systems.
  • Support management to perform control activities for ongoing risk monitoring as well as ad-hoc projects. Support management for various reporting and facilitate timely and accurate tracking of management responses actions.
  • Identify and escalate critical/exceptional issues to the appropriate management.
  • Proactively contribute to the team in delivering business strategies and objectives, and actively engage in activities. Work collaboratively with the wider team to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for and implement cost reduction initiatives. Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures in own team.  
    Requirements
    • Fulltime Graduation/Post graduation from recognized universities with at least 5 years of experience.
    • Understanding of Financial Crime including Anti Money Laundering, Sanctions and Customer Due Diligence required.
    • Good understanding of operational risk and controls preferably gained through experience in risk roles.
    • Degree holder with proven track record in Banking, or Risk functions preferred.
    • Good communication, presentation skills, analytical and critical thinking.
    • A keen eye for details and able to cope with stress to meet tight deadline.
    • Willing to learn and able to adapt new challenges.
    • Native Cantonese. Proficient English in both oral and written English.   

    Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.

    Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
