We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Chief Distribution Officer, Insurance, reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Hang Seng Insurance.
Principal responsibilities
- Run the life, medical and General insurance business as a company and distributor and plan, formulate and drive insurance business strategies/ customer proposition and product line extension/re-positioning in all distribution channels to ensure alignment with the Bank/ Group strategy and achievement business targets.
- Develop and implement business plan and initiatives, including but not limited to new product launch, manpower, marketing campaigns, incentives, data base management and system enhancement.
- Acquire, build and nurture customer relationships and act on customers’ feedback promptly and monitor sales practices / quality / process and explore feasible initiatives for enhancing customer experience and sales efficiency
- Develop effective customer/product propositions to drive growth of new insurance customers
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve department goals and give effective coaching to team members and upskill them into entrusted leaders and successors of the management team
- Review and re-engineer existing internal procedures for the selling practices to balance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Observe and ensure the compliance of both internal and external standards, rules & regulations applied to both manned and direct channels
Requirements
- Proven experience in banking and financial services including Chief Distribution Officer related role in a financial institution (relevant experience in an insurance entity is highly preferred)
- Strategic focus and thought leadership with customer centricity insights and agile problem-solving in change environments.
- Proven distribution/ sales management experience with ability to engage and influence key stakehodlers Awareness of local regulations in related to financial & insurance industry and an effective and pragmatic response to address the resulting requirement
- Ability to build relations with local management and positively influence outcomes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work under pressure
- University degree in Business Administration, Insurance or related discipline
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
