We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

 

Business: Enterprise Technology L3

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of reporting and analytics specialists, managing workload, setting priorities, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the reporting and analytics platform to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality data and service delivery.

  • Process Optimisation: Drive the enhancement and optimisation of operational processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and the value we deliver to our internal clients.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary operational contact for the HR Workforce Strategy and Insights teams, building trusted advisory relationships and managing expectations.

  • Service Governance: Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of our data, establishing and enforcing best practices for data management, reporting standards, and compliance.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to understand requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver robust, fit-for-purpose solutions.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a team leadership role, specifically within a data, reporting, or business intelligence function.

  • Demonstrable experience overseeing the delivery of business insights using modern BI tools, with strong proficiency in Power BI.

  • Practical knowledge of cloud data platforms and ETL processes; hands-on experience with Azure Databricks is highly advantageous.

  • A strong understanding of operational service management principles (e.g., ITIL) and experience managing technical operations in an Agile environment.

  • A track record of successful stakeholder management, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and act as a trusted advisor.

  • Excellent complex problem-solving skills, with experience in incident and problem management.

  • Experience working effectively within a global team structure across multiple time zones.
