We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Controls - Change Analyst

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide input into the Non-Financial Risk and conduct impact assessment that is prepared by the FDSS project team.
  • Participate in the creation of strategic design principles to drive development of the enhanced control environment.
  • Assist with the as-is control environment assessment for each phase of FDS.
  • Input into the design of the end-to-end business control framework.
  • Assist the Controls Lead in the preparation of the business control requirements and support the definition of controls within the target processes.
  • Assess how performance of the controls fit in with the target operating model.
  • Ensure required controls documentation is updated (e.g. Helios).
  • Help organise business control operating effectiveness testing and the preparation of the residual risk assessments for each FDSS phase. Drive, motivation and focus on operational excellence.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships and appropriate communication across Finance as well as other functions such as DBS, Risk and the businesses who form part of overall control environment.
  • Work with dynamic plans in a fast-moving change environment, continually assessing priorities and progress and adjusting course where necessary while ensuring ongoing stakeholder buy-in. 

     

Requirements
  • An experienced professional with a thorough understanding of applying controls across a Finance function including those underpinning SOX and Operational Risk frameworks.
  • Involvement in delivering a complex change project in the Financial and Regulatory reporting space.
  • Experience of reviewing and defining controls and risk assessment to identify and mitigate key risk, including evaluating controls over financial and operational processes.
  • Experience of Non-Financial Risk Management and strong cross-Finance knowledge, able to confidently articulate on controls topics.
  • Experience with working with innovative technologies, data management and architecture to support control design and build.
  • Good knowledge of Finance systems architecture, strategy delivery, data model, especially Finance Cloud platform.
  • Good knowledge of data controls such as data movement and data usage controls. An effective communicator able to tailor a discussion to the level appropriate to the stakeholder.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, self-motivated, confident, creative and capable of working effectively autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams. Strong project management skills and a demonstratable experience of working on multiple engagements and managing your time effectively.
  • Proven change management skills including an excellent working knowledge of MS products such as PowerPoint, Excel, MS Visio, and Word. Team-working experience in a project environment and a flexible and adaptable working style to work with multiple project managers across multiple geographies.
