Private Banking and Trust Services - Private Banking Department 

Hang Seng's Private Banking provides services for people who have successfully built their asset base and now want to place their wealth in the hands of experts who know how to nurture it. 

Our banking services and products are bespoke, ranging from tailored investment advice and capital solutions to holistic health and personal protection and trustee services. Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale. 

Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Credit Advisor


Principal responsibilities

  • Identifying, structuring, negotiating and performing credit analysis on new credit opportunities

  • Managing existing portfolios, developing appropriate recommendations for credit approval, ensuring compliance with documented covenants, regulatory and financial reporting requirements

  • Underwriting and executing the wealth lending, performing high quality analysis, due diligence and credit presentations

  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the content and aggregate risks within an assigned portfolio, trends and other Key Risk Indicators

  • Conducting credit presentations and reports to management and/or regulators of the credit portfolio

  • Reviewing credit limits and monitoring collateral while balancing risk return of the portfolio

  • Keep abreast on market development and competitor move

  • Coach and develop team members and their talents

Requirements
  • University degree in a related discipline OR other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ banking experience with knowledge in lending or other credit related functions within private banking
  • Sound knowledge of collateral lending and structured credit transactions for private banking clients
  • Client facing and management skills will be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables
  • Passes in the HKSI licensing examinations OR professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP is preferred
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
