We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist

  • Perform software design, development, and automated testing of new and existing components in an Agile, DevOps and dynamic environment.
  • Provide input to the development process – through the involvement in Sprint reviews and retrospectives.  Input into system architecture and design. 
  • Understand the functional and non-functional requirements through regular interactions with the POs, BAs, SMEs and Solution Architects and work with development team to translate functional and non-functional requirements to high level and detailed design.
  •  Ensure development team is adopting sound engineering practices for building software solutions. Promoting development standards, Peer code reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing.
  • Implement the relevant tools and processes (as applicable for the team), handling performance, scale, availability, accuracy, and monitoring.
  • Take a lead in service recovery process in event of production incidents. Proactively review outstanding production problems and plan to reduce technical debts.
  • Lead production support & troubleshooting.
  • Ready to work on any new cutting-edge initiatives like Prophecy, Copilot, Starburst etc and part of the Pilot program. Also, appraise and onboard team on those initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 12+years of years of overall IT experience with more than 8 years of experience in Data Engineering related technologies.
  • Understanding of big data modelling techniques using relational and non-relational techniques
  •  Experience with–Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, PubSub, Cloud SQL, Python Programming,  PySpark, ETL frameworks, SQL.
  • Sound knowledge of operating systems - Unix/Linux.
  • Hands-on experience in building data pipelines on Cloud (GCP).
  • Must have the ability to understand and develop the logical flow of applications on technical code level.
  • Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, GitHub), automated deployment tools (Ansible & Jenkins) and requirement management in JIRA.
  • Experience of automated unit testing, automated integration testing and a fully automated build and deployment process as part of DevOps (CI/CD) tooling.
  • Proven ability to define and build architecturally sound solution designs.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Airflow, Cloud Composer, Control-M.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and in global environments.
