We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr Associate Director Software Engineering Specialist
In this role, you will:
Lead and mentor agile teams, ensuring adherence to agile principles and best practices.
Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
Collaborate and Support the Product Owner, Stakeholders to prioritise team backlog by providing insight, clarifications and business insight into potential work items based on in depth understanding of business situation / context.
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating requirements into scalable solutions.
Guide teams in breaking down complex business problems into actionable user stories and tasks.
Build and maintain understanding of end-to-end business context around the product / services, including customer journeys
Recommend improvements / solutions to problems to Product Owner that are in line with VS objectives, specifying realistic target contributions to specific OKRs
Build and maintain relationships with key operational stakeholders who use or are impacted by the product / services.
Understand any business and policy constraints that need to be considered and assess the implications.
Perform additional detailed E2E analysis (eligibility, touchpoints, integrations, dependencies, operational needs, security, regulatory & compliance requirements) where required.
Participate in the design and review of technical solutions factoring feasibility (commercial, business, technical, delivery, etc.) and business / change impact.
Provide design thinking and expert knowledge supporting deliverables that underpin our strategy.
Help to develop optimal business solutions that deliver customer centric outcomes as well as scale and efficiency within the enterprise.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Proven track record of technology leadership and delivery across Databases, Bigdata (e.g. Hadoop), Cloud (e.g. GCP, Azure), Business Intelligence (e.g. Qlik, TM1) and Workflow (e.g. Appian) platforms.
Work experience in dynamic and fast-paced environments, and/or other high-growth businesses in the Financial Services and/or Technology industries utilizing agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
Ability to think at a strategic level while simultaneously rolling up the sleeves to solve for key opportunities and problems.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining an impeccable judgment and attention to detail.
Ability to build strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders across all levels within the organization as well as with key external partners.
Exposure to product planning, delivery, budgeting and management with experience in working in Agile/DevOps env.
Excellent business and financial acumen, and ability to find and use data and analysis effectively to assist in fact-based decision making.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new products, lines of business, processes, software, systems, and client needs.
Good understanding of Google cloud and latest tools/technologies.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Golang or JavaScript would be a big plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Agile Coach, TOGAF) are a plus.
