We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Finance Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Period end close, accounting controls and balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation activity across all in-scope entities
  • Compliance with Global Standards/FIMs
  • Key processes and judgments, including in relation to impairments of investments in subsidiaries/goodwill/intangible assets, share based payments, deferred tax asset recognition, cash flow forecasting/dividend payments.
  • Strategic transactions (including M&A activity); Relationship with external auditors; and Regulatory reporting across all in-scope entities
  • Works with stakeholders within Finance and beyond to plan and implement changes to accounting and regulatory policy and standards and deal with ad-hoc requirements
  • Supporting the AM Global Financial Controller, in all aspects relating to the financial control activities and M&A/ad-hoc projects; as well as have additional opportunities to deputise for the AM Global Financial Controller
  • Ensures policies and procedures are designed effectively and operate robustly such that they meet internal and external audit and regulatory expectations
Requirements

To be successful you will

  • Qualified professional accountant with in depth knowledge of technical requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local GAAP for in-scope entities and regional statutory and regulatory reporting
  • Prior experience of working within the Asset Management industry and knowledge of asset management products with a proven ability to proactively and constructively engage with senior management, clients, regulators and auditors
  • Experience with developing and maintaining a robust control environment, including ability to anticipate risks, connect dots and drive end-to-end accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performing teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience drafting documents for a Board level audience and external disclosure and ability to articulate on accounting matters in a credible fashion to senior stakeholders
