We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Financial Support Specialist.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Review all such cases where collections from customers are overdue
  • Support team members with collections for small/mid value customers, where payments are outstanding
  • Undertake collection for large accounts, liaise with the customers for payments through telephonic conversations, emails
  • Closely track payments, especially in those cases where the customer may default or has arrived at payment agreement with HSBC given his/her liquidity
  • Drive adherence to regulatory requirements and collection policies
  • Review and Engage with Risk Stewards to obtain concurrence on Third Party  
    • Incident Report
    • Security Review (TPSR)
    • Outsourced Service Provider’s Audit Report (OSPAR)
    • Outsourcing Assessment (OA), Annual Assessment (AA), Material Assessment (MA)
    • Contract Renewal
  • Prepare, Review & Conduct Monthly Third Party Vendor Governance Forum
  • Understand the importance of Third Party Risk and ensuring all Risk activities (including tasks and metrics) are undertaken accurately and on time with any deficiencies escalated as appropriate
  • Manage Third Party engagements effectively to ensure all risk activities (including tasks and metrics) are undertaken accurately and on time with any deficiencies escalated as appropriate; to ensure compliance with the Third Party Risk Policy and Framework
  • Conduct training for Third Party Vendor upon contract renewal
  • Handle exceptional collection cases eg customer complaints
  • Liaison with law firms and debt collection agencies on daily engagements and contract renewal
  • Conduct governance forums for outsourced vendors under Collections
  • Manage vendors’ performance to enable higher recoveries for the bank, including site visits to be done
Requirements
  • Jobholder should possess a minimum 7 years related collections experience and able to manage, review, monitor and supervise Third Party Vendor’s Operations, Collections and Field Visit activities, to meet HSBC’s Standard & Values, Bank's recoveries
  • Conduct Monthly Third Party Vendor Site Visit ensuring the processes and procedures in compliance with Business Requirements and Bank’s Policies
  • Be able to motivate Third Party Voice Agents working towards achieving targets set
