We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Be a key member of the Risk & Compliance Tech COO team and support the Risk & Compliance Tech CIO on all finance matters.
  • Build strong and effective relationships across a complex and senior stakeholder framework which includes the Risk & Compliance Technology CIO, Risk & Compliance Senior BM, Enterprise Technology Operations Director, Enterprise Technology Finance, Workforce, and Portfolio & Accountability Management leads.
  • Understand the role of Technology within the overall context of HSBC’s Global business strategy, with a particular focus on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of transparent and commercially focused analysis. 
  • Responsible for delivering a best-in-class finance service and to support the transparent articulation of the CIO & Business agenda with respect to: Technology Direct Costs, Portfolio Reporting, People Strategy, Customer Charges
  • & Allocations, Cost Recovery and leveraging shared services where appropriate.    
  • Responsible for the transparent reporting of direct costs and customer charges at a Value Stream level.
  • Assist in driving the Enterprise Technology Transformation agenda.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience of providing financial management support including but not limited to people and resourcing, financial cost control and planning, governance, strategy, functional construct/structure and resolving ad-hoc issues as they arise.
  • Proven experience ensuring transparent and timely reporting to the service lines to explain Technology investment, charges and direct costs.
  • Experience of assisting an overall change programme within a function/ programme to deliver desired outcomes whilst promoting clear governance and controls.
  • Experience of partnering with planning leads/project managers in strategic planning and coordination of service line delivery activities, with oversight and tracking of spend, resources, risks and benefit realisation. Ensuring alignment to internal controls, including Internal Audit, Legal, Data Privacy and Non Financial Risks
  • Experience providing timely status/performance updates to relevant stakeholders and management team.
  • Experience of assisting service lines with the Strategic Planning Cycle (SPC) process.
  • Experience in working with Technology tools GPDM, Pioneer, TPS and Clarity.
  • Proven experience in financial management and must possess an equivalent post graduate qualification in finance.
