We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of GPS Operations UAT Lead

Principal responsibilities

  • The responsibilities of a GPS Operations UAT Lead encompass strategic oversight, scalable test automation, cross-functional leadership, and meticulous execution.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:Review, Develop and Implement UAT Strategy: Design, document, and implement a comprehensive UAT strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and project goals. This includes defining the scope, objectives, entry and exit criteria, and overall approach for UAT.
  • Integrate and embed UAT function into new micro services-based Payments Infrastructure.Drive UAT Automation Strategy & Oversee Implementation: Review the current automation tools and frameworks in the team. Develop and execute a roadmap to a robust and scalable automation and achieve greater consistency, reduce human error and enable rapid regression testing. 
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance UAT processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall quality of testing. This may involve leveraging existing tools or introducing new tools, techniques, and best practices
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges within the UAT phase and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, development teams, and end-users to ensure a shared understanding of business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Leadership: Mentor the team of UAT testers, providing guidance, support, and feedback. Ensure optimal resourcing of UAT test team to conduct regression and functional testing across releases and programs. Ensure UAT team can meet project timelines and resolve any cross functional issues, dependencies or impediments
  • Test Planning and Coordination: Oversee the creation of detailed UAT test plans, including test scenarios, test cases, and test data preparation. Coordinate the execution of these test plans with the UAT team and business users.
  • Defect Management: Establish and manage the defect lifecycle process for issues identified during UAT. This involves triaging defects, prioritizing their resolution with the development team, and ensuring timely re-testing. 
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular and clear status reports on UAT progress, including key metrics, risks, and issues, to project stakeholders and senior management. Test Case Review: Review and approve UAT test cases to ensure they adequately cover all business requirements and user scenarios.
  • Environment and Data Management: Oversee the setup and maintenance of the UAT environment and ensure the availability of appropriate test data.Participation in Testing: At times, directly participate in the execution of test cases to gain a deeper understanding of the system and user experience.
Requirements
  • Functionally own UAT across Cross border Cross Currency (CBCC), Domestic and emerging payments (DOME) and client implementation sub value stream. Candidate must possess a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of Payments: Proven experience of working with cross-border / Domestic High-value and / or low-value / RTP payments. Deep Understanding of UAT Methodologies: Proven experience in all aspects of User Acceptance Testing, including strategy development, planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Test Automation Strategy: Strong experience in developing and implementing test automation strategies. Strong Leadership: The ability to motivate and guide a blended team of manual & automation testers to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: The capacity to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, build consensus, and manage expectations.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: A keen eye for detail and the ability to analyze complex business requirements, identify potential issues, and devise effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with Testing / Test Management Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar platforms for test case management and defect tracking. Significant familiarity with UAT automation platforms (e.g. Selenium, Low-code / No-code solutions like TOSCA)
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile Methodologies: A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience integrating test automation into Agile / DevOps environments.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
    10-15 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or management role focused on User Acceptance Testing.
  • Strong Automation Knowledge / Skills. Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing UAT strategies for complex projects. A proven track record of successfully leading and delivering UAT for large-scale software applications.
  • Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are preferred. Strong knowledge of MS office suite. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
