Opportunity:

Role purpose

  • This is pivotal role providing leadership to the operational management of Corporate Real Estate Contract Administration
  • Corporate Services manages a number of Global Supplier relationships
  • Reporting (entity) to the Head of Risk and Control and the relevant Operational Lead, (Functional) this role is to lead on the delivery of proactive Contractual Management services for the teams leading those relationships and contracts
  • Providing specialist Third Party Management capability in support of the management of the activity with demonstrable capability to manage complex global contracts within a Corporate Real Estate environment
  • Managing the operation of global Third Party controls and delivering associated reporting
  • Leading on the delivery of regular Third Party Management activity including supplier meetings and reporting. Liaising with the 2LOD to ensure compliance with standards
  • Collation and management of Key Performance Indicators, Key Risk Indicators and Service Level Agreements ensuring adherence and Action management.
  • Delivering support capability in relation to internal control requirements. E.g., data management controls

Governance and Committee Memberships

  • Providing reporting the to the Cooperate Service Risk and Control Management meeting

What you’ll do:

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

Business

  • Management of the core global Master Service Agreements and supplier contracts for Corporate Services e.g. Construction Management, Facilities Management and Portfolio Management
  • Providing the enablement services required to deliver the effective management of Global Third Party relationships including supporting negotiation of key activity throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Delivery of Global Third Party Management Controls on behalf of the Corporate Services Risk owners
  • Management of commercial commitments, KRI, KPI, SLA metrics – obtaining evidence internally and externally
  • Identifying issues and managing recovery along with lessons learned and read across actions
  • Develop and Report on performance and delivery of remediation plans with suppliers 
  • Being our main point of contact for the Third Parties and as a point of escalation
  • Undertaking horizon scanning and identifying external influences developing action plans where necessary
  • Identify opportunities to use emerging technologies and methods to manage the controls in scope. Also, delivering an effortless support capability anticipating operational needs and leading on managing the controls required to support the operational activity.

Customers and Stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain strong, proactive working relationships with the operational leads, Third Parties and internal stakeholders business/functions.
  • Act as an interface with the relevant partners, support and 2LOD areas internally and externally

Risk Management and Controls

  • Ensure Risks & Controls are understood, managed and monitored
  • Effective management of Third Party Operated controls relating to a number of risk types
  • Meetings, data and reporting are recorded and communicated clearly
  • Ensure risks and Issues are mitigated and escalations are managed in line with the Risk Framework
  • Ensuring all Risk Management responsibilities are actioned, tracked, monitored and reported upon in line with policy
  • Evidence compliance to Bank Policies and act as escalation point for actions and outcomes
  • Ensure transparent and accessible reporting to both 2LoD and 3LoD
  • Working knowledge on Operational Risk Framework and supporting tools, for example Helios and Archer

Leadership & Teamwork 

Leadership:

  • Keep up to date with internal and external best practice using that know how to drive increased value
  • Provide professional trusted advice relating to Global Third Party Management
  • Ensure delivery targets are embedded and tracked

Team Management:

  • Provide guidance, personal challenge and growth to support employee development and retention where required
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Functional Knowledge

  • Deep and detailed knowledge of Corporate Real Estate Services, contract and commercial administration developed in the Global context
  • Professionally qualified to Degree level
  • Ability to develop trusted adviser status in relation to Corporate Services Supplier Management
  • Ability to understand the Corporate Services strategy, outcomes and be able to translate effectively into operational action
  • Leadership in driving change through a Global organization.
  • Strong business and commercial awareness. Strong relationship, collaboration and networking abilities to effectively work with the vendors, other colleagues,  and departments within the bank
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to build relationships by communicating. Good at influencing and negotiating effectively.
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands – and handle ambiguity along with strong organisational, planning and project management skills
  • Demonstrated commerciality on supplier management and SME areas balancing costs, customer demands, meeting high standards and CRE's requirements,
