We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
• Maintaining application on Microsoft Servers
• Responsible of patching Microsoft serves, cloud VMs to keep them upto date.
• Knowledge of Control M
• Hands on GCP DevOps – Jenkins, GCP Platform
• Knowledge of Cloud Composer, Big Query, Shell Scripting
• Support, design, and develop solutions for NA Wholesale Lending and Onboarding
• Troubleshoot issues with infrastructure and service deployments and use learnings to improve and strengthen cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with HSBC security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Convert Cobol Code into Python Script and deploy on Google Cloud.
• Ensure all infrastructure as code deployments meet bank standards for IT security.
• Work with HSBC global Cloud Architects to design and implement patterns for cloud networking, IT security assurance, service deployment and service management that comply with strict bank and regulatory standards.
• Identify, analyse and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields
• 10 plus years of experience in the field of Java + must have knowledge of cloud computing.
• Must have Windows server knowledge
• Must have handson on Java, GCP (Cloud Composer,Big Query,Cloud Storage,GKE,VM)Linux (Bash Scripting and shell), IaC tools (Terraform)
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps
• A strong problem-solving capability
• An ability to work well within a cross-functional agile team, delivering either as an individual contributor or pairing effectively with a colleague as needed
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with scripting.
• Expert in code deployment tools and frameworks
• An ability to understand and maintain cloud composer
• Fundamental knowledge of networking and routing
