We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.
  • Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
  • Collaborate with other Development teams, Enterprise Architecture and Support teams to design, develop, test and maintain the various platforms and their integration with other systems
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support
  • Responsible to support production releases/support on need basis.
  • Peer Review, CI/CD pipeline implementation and Service monitoring.
  • ITSO for the application/s.
  • Should have flexible in working hours, ready to work in shift and On call
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Person should have 8+ years of strong mainframe experience in analysis, design, coding and unit testing. 
  • Mainframe technologies must include COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS.
  • Experience in all components of software delivery with concentration in requirements, design and development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
  • Must adapt to change quickly and be able to assess impacts where necessary
  • Good to have knowledge on Agile technologies (JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins’)
  • Good to have knowledge on IWS Scheduling
  • Troubleshoot and fixing incidents, Keeping the system up and running, timely escalation to Lead
  • Analyze System and application log and involve appropriate support teams, if required
  • Assist other IT teams as well as Business stakeholders with your solutions during major/critical incidents
  • End User/Customer assistance, Data Migrations Form Production to test environments & Bulk Data Remediation’s & Performance tuning
  • Should be able to do the code changes/Parameters setup whenever is required. Should understand the other technologies & Tools linked with MDS Assets
  • Ensure the service operations quality is up to the organization standards
  • Adhere to Agile methodology (example Scrum, Kanban & Jira etc)
  • Mentoring the Agile PoDs on the RTB optimization and making sure no defects post Production
