We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using Vision Plus.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications.
- Provide production support post deployment and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Document technical specifications and maintain up-to-date system documentation.
- Assist in the migration and upgrade of mainframe applications as needed.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all mainframe applications.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience in Mainframes and Vision Plus
- Hands on Development Experience in Mainframe Modules: COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM
- Good Knowledge on Vision Plus
- Good Knowledge on Mainframe Tools File Manager, Ezytrieve, TWS, Endeavor, Debug etc.,
- Hands on Experience in all components of software delivery with concentration in requirements gathering, design, development, Unit Testing, Production Deployment.
- Ability to understand business requirement and create functional / technical design or IA document
- Able to take end to end ownership for assigned user story/task.
- Good in Debug the code to find the Root Causes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to solicit and formalize requirements and work with end users/customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with agile development methodology.
