We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Officer - MARKETS OPS - CN.

Principal responsibilities

  • Be responsible for brokerage fee/ billing validation, processing, payments and relative MIs.

  • To perform reconciliation of custodian vs internal holding and intersystem trade reconciliation of external vs internal systems. Send and consolidate daily reconciliation breaks for investigation.

  • To perform trade confirmation chasing, matching and produce relative MIs.

  • To produce and dispatch client reports such as valuation report, client outstanding trade report, gold loan margin report to client or internal stakeholders.

  • To maintain and update procedures as necessary.

  • To identify potential financial risk to the bank and ensure proper resolution is achieved within the bank’s guidelines.

  • To ensure adequate support for effective management of Key Risk Indicator (KRIs), to minimize risk e.g. Inter-system breaks, confirmation long pending.

Requirements
  • Conceptual understanding of Global Markets.

  • Basic understanding of Collateral, precious metal and fixed income products.

  • Be able to demonstrate the mind set and maturity to operate in a fast-paced environment.

  • With awareness and appreciation to operations risk and control and exception management.

  • With ability to implement initiatives and work as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients/stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and a hands-on approach to identify opportunities of process improvement.

  • Follow formal escalation framework across all aspects of Operations i.e. operational and systemic related risks.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage local and international relationships across the organization.

  • Timely and proper escalation to management to protect the firm against risk exposure.

  • With ability to apply judgment to operational situations in a fast-paced environment to drive progress.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
