What you will do: 

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for supporting Relationship Manager in acquisition and managing client relationships for the Bank with strong focus on building HSBC position in Poland corporate client segment by actively meeting customer needs via sales cycle.


In this role you will:

  • Cooperate with Relationship Managers on respectively assigned portfolios to support quality business growth of the entire Commercial and Institutional Banking and to ensure risk cautious monitoring over lifetime of the transactions in their remit, 
  • Prepare credit applications to be submitted for review and approval by the independent Risk function. Taking responsibility for the credit application quality including interactions with the clients as well as internal stakeholders to obtain necessary information and progress with the application approval process,
  • Act as a key point of contact for Customers regarding requests on bank credit products, customer file updates including ID&V (Identification & Verification) and issues connected to account maintenance by cooperation with / delegation to Client Management / Back Office / Legal / Product Specialist when needed.
  • Support overall business growth by right prioritization of opportunities, on risk/reward and time spent/results gained basis, raising and addressing concerns over inefficient use of bank resources / capital
  • Active engage in customer related internal and external processes, including existing to bank and new to bank: maintenance / process and document flow / system data
  • Support the Relationship Managers’ sales force in existing portfolio maintenance and monitoring to allow the sales force maximization of focus on customer related sales activities
  • Enhance the Bank’s image in the marketplace to build key relationships with third parties as required
Qualifications

You should apply if you have: 

  • Accomplished studies in relevant discipline (Banking, Finance, Economics, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in credit analysis and corporate banking (e.g., relationship management, transaction support or related areas)
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to interpret consolidated financial statements and assess a client’s financial position
  • Good understanding of the corporate banking market and business environment in Poland
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
  • Fluency in written and in spoken Polish and English
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients as required

The pay range for this role is 14 500 PLN – 16 500 PLN (monthly, gross)

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance
