HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia-Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world-class solutions to retail and private clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs-based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services. 

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Premier Banking Consultant. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage clients virtually with some face to face client interaction, primarily through the telephone and emails, managing our highest value clients where professionalism, client focus and strong understanding of the fundamentals of financial planning are critical to the success of the business
  • Attend to client service requests through the telephone and email, on both service and sales matters
  • Execute instructions from clients promptly to service level agreements and accurately, following up on any pending items, responding to customers’ request, queries and complaints promptly, and working closely with other departments to ensure that customers instructions and requests are executed correctly and followed up in a timely manner
  • Refer potential customers who require or are keen in financial planning and products to license Relationship Managers
  • Build effective relationships with clients to retain and develop sustainable relationships
  • Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Some proven and progressive financial services or retail sales experience or equivalent
  • Evidence of strong service experience in banking industry
  • Relationship management experience with Premier clients
  • Strong communication, client focus and influencing skills
  • Understanding of business banking client segment, products and services
  • Clear view on how to work with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment

To be considered for this role, the relevant rights to work in Singapore is required.

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
