 We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

  In this role, you will:

• Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business users’ needs.
• Work as DevOps engineer and own and deliver the automation scripts enabling Pipeline deployments.
• Conduct system tests, user acceptance tests and provide support on system implementation.
• Ensure a high-quality standard of deliverables in accordance to HSBC standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members.
• Design and build solutions by increasing customer satisfaction and align solutions to our business and IT Strategy.
• Build solutions with an engineering mindset that not just achieve functional objectives but also cater to non-functional requirements with consistent performance.
• Interact with local and global business analysts, project managers, technical architects and developers, detailing the design and driving quality end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborate closely with global technology teams and support functions, with regards to strategy, operating model, implementation, production support transition and project lifecycle governance.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements and technologies in JAVA / Python development

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Good track record with the entire Software Development Life Cycle process. 
• Solid skill set and development experience in Java, Python, Unix/Linux, Git and Maven / Gradle is essential.
• Solid knowledge of Spring framework, hands on development experience on Spring & Spring Boot, Restful API development.
• Good track record with relational database product like PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of DevOps/Agile way of working.
• Good presentation and communication skills with fluent English speaking and writing skills.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative.
• Able to work independently and effectively under pressure.
• Able to adapt in global team culture and communicate with teammate in different locations.
• Previous experience with Traded Risk platforms and Business domain knowledge in Risk is a big plus.
• Knowledge in Cloud or Containerization Technology will be an advantage.
