We are currently seeking a high quality professional to join our team as a Wholesale Credit Risk Officer / Approver.
Principal Responsibilities
· Contribute to build-up constructive credit culture, maintain sound quality in the wholesale portfolio, prevent potential credit losses and ensure that capital is allocated to where the Bank aspires growth.
· Be responsible for ongoing oversight of assigned portfolio of corporate and institutional clients across various industry sectors. Track market and industry developments and impact on clients.
· Conduct forward-looking evaluation around credit worthiness of obligors; provide guidance & feedback to 1LOD (Business) to ensure credit decisions comply with Bank policies / regulations; and challenge & influence 1LOD (Business) to make sure appropriate risk rating is assigned to obligor and that credit facilities are well-structured and right-sized to sufficiently mitigate risks.
· Exercise meaningful & responsible Credit Approval Authority.
· Prepare clear & concise approval comments / recommendation to ensure sound audit trail and to assist Senior Credit Officers / Regional Risk in making well-informed credit decision.
· Co-ordinate and manage ad hoc projects and initiative.
· Interact closely with transaction stakeholders including client coverage, product bankers and senior credit decision-makers.
Qualifications
· Min. 3~5 years’ experience in a credit risk or credit analysis role covering corporate portfolio.
· Strong credit analysis skills covering both qualitative and quantitative assessment.
· Proven competency in making sound credit decisions.
· Strong ability to take an active role in identifying key risks relating to clients, their sectors, and transaction structures.
· Able to work in a dynamic and diversified cultural environment. Capable of demonstrating good time management when dealing with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Degree holder in accounting, statistics, business or finance.
· Good command of written and spoken in both Korean and English
