We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst.

Business: CIB & HBEU Technology

Principal responsibilities

  • Removing impediments for the team and shield them from interruptions, act as a coach to the team, Product Owner and wider organisation to help them continually improve, and facilitates the delivery of work and where appropriate.
  • Ensure all activities performed within the team adhere to the relevant data standards and data controls.
  • Ensure the level of automation within the team is optimised at all times, reducing the need for human intervention in the design, development and operational lifecycles, including decisions on tooling to achieve optimal performance.
  • Work with the Product Owner, Solution & Platform Architects to identify changes required, create & agree necessary stories.
  • Work with the Agile Lead to ensure efficient flow of the backlog of change activities.
  • Accountable for ensuring products and services maintain compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements and control objectives within the risk and controls framework.
  • Responsible for ensuring group controls are maintained within the team activities and remediation activities are resolved swiftly.
  • Accountable for the operational stability, integrity and availability of products and services supported by the team.
  • Providing support to solution architect to ensure that solutions and services are supported by the right architectures & systems.
  • Perform data analysis to provide business insights that support decision-making.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements specifications, user stories, and test cases.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Provide training and support to help team members understand new systems and processes.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate business processes, recommending optimizations.
Requirements
  •  Business Analysis in banking domain
  • Strong exposure to equities and fixed income cash and derivative products.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting
  • Strong communication skills to interact with business and IT teams from various geographies to understand/explain requirements, source the required data
  • Technical
  • Basic knowledge of RDBMS concepts and SQL
  • Ability to use MS Excel for data analysis
