We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Senior Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • The role of the Product Owner is required to drive the delivery of digital transformation within CRM, working with multiple stakeholders and in support of the senior product owners and heads of product within the team. 
  • Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory & Compliance matters. Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.1.2 of the Group Operations FIM.  Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.  Foster a compliance culture and  implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimizing relations with regulators
  • Acting as the designer, owner and communicator of target state vision and subsequent development/coordination of a sub value stream product to deliver the best user experience, outcomes and solve the initial problem statement in the best way.
  • Perform in alignment with Agile ways of working, ensuring that appropriate direction is set for the assigned Agile pod, requirements are owned and refined, and development/deployment is managed.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and senior product owners and consider customer research (internal or external) to verify requirements and sponsorship.
  • Focus on end-to-end user journeys and look for ways to innovate to deliver cohesive functionality which enables the frontline to seamlessly navigate multiple journeys.
  • Driving alignment with peers ensuring that new requirements and enhancements are assessed appropriately and adhere to design principles.
  • Championing collaboration and coordination with other product owners 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Agile development, Design thinking and Program Execution best practice;
  • Ability to implement and improve customer experience capabilities by scaling design frameworks and tools to up-skill teams, and create a common design vision and principles;
  • Awareness of product ownership and working with IT development teams;
  • Appreciation of end to end functional development from vision through to requirements, then design, prioritization and development;
  • Experience:
  • Proven ability in functional/business management, working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environments;
  • Strong analytical background and proven ability to translate and convert underlying business requirements into technical requirements and be able to visualize end to end journeys;
  • Experience in making data informed decisions (user testing, MI analysis etc)
  • Experience in senior stakeholder management and communication;
  • Proven ability to work in a faced paced environment and deal with complex business architecture;
  • Capabilities:
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels;
  • Leadership skills, with experience in team building and mentoring individuals to bring them along on the journey

  • Embeds with product teams as needed to ensure full transparency and no surprises,
  • keeping product stakeholders up to date with the latest on delivery status, product risks andscope changes
  • The key strategic deliverables are:
  • Establishing and implementing the digital capability to empower the frontline with smarter, value-add tooling that’s intuitive and customer management centric;
  • Execute and develop key integrations end to end from requirements all the way through to implementation.
  • Act in the capacity of Product Owner and support senior product owners in their capacity for distinct components of the solution, with accountability for defining and agreeing the problem/opportunity statement among stakeholders, translating with the business into requirements, through to design, build and deployment.
  • Act as a champion and ambassador for solutions, ensuring engagement and adoption is supported at regional/country level – whilst acting as point person for senior & key stakeholders 
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and systems to remove unnecessary activities, reduce operational duplication and demise redundant applications to enable adding of customer value;
  • Support the definition, development and execution of sales management & execution change/transformation initiatives, including setting the strategic end-state vision and execution phases and directing regional and country implementation of these initiatives.
  • Ensure strong networks with key stakeholders are built and owned, enabling the function’s ability to execute at pace.
  • When required act as delegate at meetings and for senior product owners
