We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
Principal responsibilities
• Being the key enabler for the team based on China to manage services for Managed Solution SVS
• Lead the delivery pod for a key functional stream in the Discretionary programme to support Private Banking’s strategy to uplift the capability in the domain working closely with business and various stakeholders.
• Provide effective technical solution for end to end business processes or functions
• Be accountable for leading in working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a product or service.
• Ensure high quality standard and on time delivery.
• Maintain close relationship with all stakeholders and business teams and drive the program activities across business and technology teams.
• Ensure strong domain knowledge within the delivery team.
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data.
• End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey.
• Conduct risk assessment, identify and resolve all potential risks and issues, provide effective mitigation and contingency plan.
• Adopt Agile delivery methodology.
• Align with HSBC/Private Banking DevOps standard. Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge.
• Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Help to ensure service stability on production (work with development team, infrastructure team etc. to fix any known issues)
• Ensure the appropriate support model is established, which may include 3rd party providers. ITSO will be responsible for maintaining support groups for the services they own.
• Review and approve (or deny) production change requests relating to their IT Services.
• Ensure Service Continuity plans are maintained and routinely tested
• Ensure Operation Level Agreements (OLAs) are Reviewed
• Ensure problem resolution within agreed timeline
• Compliance to data governance and periodic review in tools
• Conduct Disaster Recovery exercise
• Manage the day to day capacity and performance of the service. Conduct regular reviews of the metrics captured and identify potential areas of constraint. Assist ITID to plan the shared environment by providing updates of critical changes and growth figures.
• Identify, in conjunction with the business, new initiatives that may impact the service. This may include new products, changes to existing products that will increase market traction, new countries that are being targeted.
• Forecast Application Performance
• Ensure appropriate business system access controls are in place.
• Support China delivery team capability uplift
• Support/participate in department management and strategic initiatives
