We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering
In this role, you will:
- Work as a Senior developer to provide application solutions to the business, from front to back.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Reporting applications that are often high-volume and low-latency, required for mission-critical systems
- Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Writing well-designed, efficient, and testable code
- Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, debugging and production support fixes.
- Ensuring designs comply with specifications
- Preparing and producing releases of software components
- Transforming requirements into stipulations
- Support continuous improvement
- Investigating alternatives and technologies
- Presenting for architectural review
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience in working within an Agile methodology to design, develop, test, and implement analytics, reporting features and functions.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- 4-8 years Hands-on experience with GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and VPC networking.
- Leverage GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, cloud run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).
- Architect cloud-native applications and infrastructure using best practices.
- Plan and execute migrations of on-premises systems to GCP.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar.
- Automate deployment pipelines with CI/CD tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GCP infrastructure and applications.
- Understanding of GCP security tools, IAM, firewall rules, VPC configurations, and encryption mechanisms.
- Strong knowledge and experience on core Java, and Spring Boot and Spring Cloud stack
- Strong knowledge and experience on Microservices and RESTful API
- Good communication skills in written/oral English
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective, trusting partnerships with product managers, architects, and technical leads for individual products and applications.
