We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Lead Consultant Specialist

Business: Markets & Sec Services IT

Principal responsibilities 

- Propose, and/or conduct thorough assessment of IT solutions to meet business requirements, Architecture Principles of TREATS, as well as the wider organizational principles/directions.
- Work closely with members in TREATS IT team, Architects and other IT professionals in the organization to choose compatible IT solutions.
- Review, evaluate of existing systems (Architecture, Data, Technology…etc.) and provide advice/guideline on how to change/improve, in order to meet the organizational principles, directions and policies.
- Define, maintain, update and measure TREATS Architecture Principles.
- Create/maintain architecture diagram, high level introduction/documentation for TREATS.
- Conduct research, create design and/or prototype for new solutions, technologies, when a new function or application is needed.
- Develop future architecture and transformation/migration plans or road map, when needed.
- Provide support/advice to:
- Define and enforce technical procedures and standards,
- SDLC process improvement/automation,
- Response to internal audit and external regulators.
- Technology background is not a barrier to getting things done – Be a problem solver, able to be dropped into a situation specifically to assess reliability, proposing tactical and strategic remediation items regardless of technology, tooling or programming language making strategic decisions, articulates associated architectural risks, issues and technical debt and mitigating risks in context of enterprise architecture.
- Empowers the team and does not micromanage team, has clear vision and strategy for the team and his / her L5 / sub-asset class, and helps with career development of team
- Ensures structured training and mentoring processes in place to build high performing engineering teams through collaboration, coaching and continuous learning
- Key contributor in cross asset-class / GB-GF technology and / or organisational initiatives to drive department wide shared goals and technology transformation initiatives

Requirements

- 10+ years of working experience in IT industry, preferably in an enterprise or a global environment, with solid software design and development experience, preferably working on large, complex global projects/systems for investment banking business.
- Hands-on architectural experience and background in technology, engineering practices and/or DevSecOps tooling
- Experienced in owning a platform / group of services front-to-back and the set of responsibilities associated with it
- Deep knowledge of emerging technology domain/architecture/automation practices and well aligned with industry best practices to help drive impactful architectural decisions
- Clear understanding of business domain and in-depth understanding of sub domain comprising group of applications, platforms/services, data, infrastructure, security to advise stakeholders on technical aspects.
- Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements inline with FIM guidelines
- Ability to design, develop and release code into production and reviews other's code for best practice. Typically will release to production weekly if not multiple times per day. Continues to contribute to code and reviews other's code for best practice
- Takes ownership of production – a. build solution with a mindset of supporting it all the way through to production, b. actively participate in assisting with production incidents within and outside of their scope/remit
- Keeps up to date with continuous learning and have expertise on current tools, technologies and at least one specialization like Cloud, DevSecOps, cyber security, data controls, Infrastructure, Service management, etc. that are applicable in the respective departments
- Able to Support, influence and guide engineering teams in selecting right technologies, designing technology solutions and implementing necessary engineering controls: able to get buy-in from Product owners and development leads in line with Architecture Principles (Asset Class and MSS).
- Collaborative and able to evidence examples where they have reached beyond their team, both to share best practice and innovative ideas from their own area as well to learn / adopt from others.
