We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager Global Reinsurance.
Principal Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the global reinsurance policy, relationships and will work with the local insurance businesses to develop their reinsurance program to enable new business growth, efficient capital management, and optimal inforce management
- Manage the reinsurance panel and ongoing relationships with the key reinsurers to maximize the support the Group gets and ensuring that reinsurance arranged is cost-effective, and optimal. It will involve working closely with local product, actuarial and underwriting teams to help them determine their reinsurance needs, to negotiate treaties, obtain necessary Group approval and ongoing reinsurance management
- The development of protection is a strategic priority, both as an important customer need and to improve the risk profile of manufacturing businesses. The role holder will work with local product teams in developing reinsurance program in the context of promoting protection propositions
- Work with local entities and global functions to design, and execute strategic reinsurance transactions to optimize capital.
- Support in design, and potentially lead the roll out of the reinsurance program that enable protection focus proposition across key global markets
- Monitor and ensure reinsurance program are updated on developments on industry protection strategy in key markets
Requirements
- Insurance experience of more than 10 years with focus on reinsurance
- Intimate knowledge of direct company actuarial operations (pricing, valuation, risk, distribution), and structured solutions via reinsurance covers, along with sensitive toward business awareness
- Experience working across multiple markets, products knowledge across multiple markets would be advantageous
- Experience in negotiation of reinsurance terms preferred
- Experience of working on protection product development, or reinsurance structured solutions
