We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Operations Manager - Domain Lead Cheque.

Principal Responsibilities

This is a team head role to lead the onshore and offshore teams to manage cheque operations, collaborate with global, regional, and local internal stakeholders, dealing with external stakeholders including vendors, HKMA & HKICL. The role and the team are critical to maintain cheque operation, which is an important service of the bank, operation issues can cause impact to the market and bank’s reputation directly.

  • Work with Product Owners, IT, business, regulators, and Operation teams, and responsible for the delivery, on-going success & continuous improvement of other selected payment services
  • Ensure payments service performance levels are met in line with agreed Performance Level Agreements (PLAs)
  • Seek out opportunities to continuously drive improvements in the overall experience delivered to customers and the market
  • Collaborate effectively, working closely with the GSC to deliver service standard, achieve business, and cost target
  • Support to manage payments operating costs and generate agreed target sustainable cost saves
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance of the products and services with mandatory and regulatory requirements, control objectives in the risk and control framework (in line with published standards and guidelines)
  • Mitigates and anticipates any risk around our control environment through execution of key controls and identification of any control weaknesses
Requirements
  • A university graduate with degree in Business, IT, finance, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years related experience including working as an operation manager, team leadership role
  • Plan, Implementation, change management experience
  • Stakeholder and Third-Party management experience
  • Strong people / team management skills, proven capabilities to motivate and lead people, employing appropriate management styles
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving ability
  • Experience of managing resources using appropriate communication, delegation, and planning skills
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
