Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced payments specialist to join GPS Ops Payments Infrastructure as Senior Product Owner. This is a high profile role accountable for driving the delivery of business and operational requirements for new products and changes across our Payments Infrastructure.

The Payments Infrastructure team operates across all our payment systems Cross Border / high value, Domestic & Real Time Payments, Client Onboarding, Investigations, and post processing, and is a key partner to Operations, LOB product leads and Technology.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and drive the delivery of the detailed requirements backlog, working closely with GPS Client Implementation Operations, GPS CI Product team and Technology
  • Liaise with all stake holders in the business areas and operations to align the product roadmap to business, IT and Ops priorities
  • Ensure Operational Readiness for change promotion, working closely with GPS Operations (UAT, Training, End User Documentation, Ops release management)
  • Ensure consistency with global processing workflows as far as possible, driving out local changes unless driven by pressing Business, regulatory or compliance needs.
  • Demonstrate clear ability to challenge existing processes and practices where they do not align to the GPS Operations Target Operating model and payments infrastructure architecture
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Excellent understanding of E2E payment journeys from the point of client initiation to clearing and settlement, across multiple geographies and scheme types
  • Ability to make sound decisions and drive solutions based on those decisions, with the support of the wider team (IT / architecture / operations / lines of business)
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of client facing payments products
  • Have a strong understanding of operations and technology
  • Highly experienced in working in technology payment change projects
  • Excellent Stakeholder management across a complex global environmenta
