We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Quantitative Analyst SME.

In this role, you will:

•     Act as one of lead quantitative analyst for the Credit Risk EC model development as well as supporting model validation, monitoring and implementation.
•    Design methodology for loss distribution creation
•    Develop correlation framework for Corporate, Banks & FI, Sovereign and Retail asset classes.
•    Define and design portfolio analytics solutions in python/SAS or other similar platforms to support management judgements.
•    Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
•    Play a key role in the execution of the model (Group and Regional ICAAPs)
•    Develop EC solution for Significant Risk Transfer transactions.
•    Support Head of EC Analytics in delivering various team deliverables.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•     Knowledge of Economic Capital model development (or similar models) is highly desirable.
•    Strong quantitative skillset, and experience is mandatory. And an understanding of algebra of random numbers is highly desirable.
•    An understanding of credit risk models (IRB, ECL, stress testing etc)– both in terms of development/validation/monitoring practices and downstream usage of modelled outputs by business/finance/risk.
•    Knowledge of wholesale credit analytics, as well as wholesale credit business and wholesale credit products.
•    Proficient in manipulation of large data sets and excellent understanding of credit risk related data.

The base location for this role is London or Edinburgh with Hybrid working on offer.
