We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
Business: Markets & Sec Services Tech
Principal responsibilities
- Understand the DCS OTC business area and be conversant with and contribute to the strategy for the Global DCS OTC business within HSBC
- Provide daily application Support for DCS OTC applications working closely with HSBC business teams located in APAC, UK and US to manage and coordinate the delivery of technical updates for applications.
- Monitor service availability of all DCS OTC applications, undertake relevant incident management as well as work towards continual improvement to existing services
- Work with external parties, within and outside of HSBC, for support services including 3rd party vendors etc.
- Manage Incident properly, escalate properly to different support party. Report on service availability, record and log incidents in a timely manner, as well as to communicate to IT and user community. Own applications’ incident till it is resolved.
- Adopt DevOps practice, involve in requirement analysis, design, development, testing, Deployment and Support area.
- Experience of working in a high pressure global market environment.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English, Good interpersonal and communication skills, be capable of dealing with global stakeholders across multiple functions (IT, Operations and Sales teams) and third parties independently.
- Essential business sense, could find logical solutions to manage incident to resolution. Able to response to production incidents, with good sense of judgment between escalation and further investigation.
- Professional experience in one or more areas of Linux, Java, Spring, J2EE and SQL technologies
- Experience of CICD tools adoption.
- Knowledge of Calypso, which would be advantageous.
- Innovative thinking, self-motivated and driven.
- Good working attitude, could proactively manage issues to a successful conclusion, following up as necessary.
