We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
Business: Finance and Traded Risk Tech
Principal responsibilities
- Support the platform: incident resolution, monitoring, problem management
- Work with internal and external parties, within and outside of HSBC, for support services including 3rd party vendor.
- Develop automated tooling to improve support functions.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle,
- Adopt DevOps and Agile principles
- Ensure test-driven development and close collaboration with QA team members
- Able to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
- Understand the Collateral business area and be conversant with and contribute to the strategy for the Global Collateral business within HSBC.
- Have solid communication skill to work closely with HSBC business teams located in APAC, UK and US to manage the delivery of applications.
- Excellent knowledge of Database and SQL Queries
- Automated deployment tools eg Ansible,
- Experience with messaging protocols (MQ, Solace).
- Experience in an Agile and/or DevOps team
- Familiar with DevOps Tooling
- Knowledge of Java8, Spring MVC, Spring Boot
- Test driven development using JUnit
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Knowledge of Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana or Kapacitor
- Experience of Designing and developing microservices
- ITTL or Cloud certifications.
- Spring Cloud (Hystrix, Eureka, Zuul, Sleuth, Feign, Ribbon)
- Experience of distributed applications using in-memory stores,
- Experience of designing hybrid web Application
