We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Central CoE(Centre of Excellence) team will help streamline effort and touchpoints across multiple value streams to maintain and enhance technology resilience posture within Wholesale Tech. The Technology Business Service Lead (TBSL) role was created as a single point of contact for the BSO to support the Technology Resilience activities and oversight at the IBS level. This resulted in major uptick of operational resilience related activities within Value streams

  • .Lead a team of Resilience Analysts within CoE to support wholesale tech on resilience related activities from a business, process, and tech assessments perspective. Racks progress against the plan, looking ahead and removing roadblocks to delivery.  Ask questions when they do not understand, takes ownership of problems, and escalates when needed (remaining calm, knowing when to escalate, escalates with possible solutions)

  • Provide subject matter expertise on Tech resilience and recovery methodologies, taking into account resiliency best practice and industry standards. Contribute to the Bank's technology resilience posture, assessments and roadmap, ensuring alignment. Bank's overall business strategy. Contribute to the Technical Resilience standards for the Bank and the reporting of compliance against the standard.

  • Ensure all required resiliency control requirements are being met. Conduct technical resiliency assessments of Services and Business Applications (in the Cloud or on premises solutions). Validate technologies have appropriate recovery solutions and that Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives can successfully be achieved. Support regular risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities to the Bank’s IBS landscape and develop mitigation plans.

  • Take part in regular tests of the resilience and continuity plans to ensure that they are effective, up-to-date, and meet regulatory requirements. Collaborate with teams across the organization to promote a culture of resilience and provide training on infrastructure resilience best practices. Work with Analysts and Engineers to deliver updated service chain maps, Tech Resilience and Control assessments. Work with business to understand requirements and provide technical subject matter expertise in this area.

  • Work with any external vendors to ensure full understanding of their current and future states impacting IT SCMs and Tech Resilience landscape
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 15 + years of experience in technology resilience, risk management, preferably in the banking or financial services sector
  • Significant experience of designing, organising, leading and reporting on BCM/DR/OR tests.
  • Experience of embedding frameworks and controls for technology resilience and continuity.
  • Experience of managing stakeholders and contributing teams to ensure full commitment to technology resilience initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and applications, including network architecture, database management, and cloud computing.
  • Recent experience managing resilience when transitioning to an external Cloud provider model, including specific experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud Compute.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CBCP, MBCI, or ITIL, are desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to analyse, articulate and present complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
