We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer Manager.
Business: Group Data Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Lead large/medium scale of GDT data analytics data engineering team to deliver data solutions, execute data strategy in his/her appointed domains;
- Define and drive technology / solution roadmap by working closely with architecture functions in both IT and business;
- Maintain a clear data / solution / application asset inventory, in order to support business & technology roadmap, compliance and regulatory auditing;
- Effectively manages stakeholder expectations
- Responsible for people managing the team, help the team navigate thru organizational complex, effectively managing under-performers and develop talents properly
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years IT working experience
- Ability to lead engineering teams working on complex data solutions
- Proven experience on managing large-scale global/regional IT programme.
- Strong planning skills in order to manage multiple in parallel IT plans
- Possess a good understanding of HSBC IT processes.
- Sound knowledge on data technologies and good understanding on latest technology trends
- Excellent team management & people management skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent at spoken and written English
- Excellent presentation skills – Preparing and delivering presentation to senior executives
- Possess a good understanding on Agile development process.
