We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Stewardship Support Manager, Research and Analysis.

Principal responsibilities

  • Voting Analysis and Engagement Preparation: Provide research and analysis to support team members with proxy voting decisions and engagements with companies.
  • Thematic Engagement Support: Help project manage engagement activities, including documentation/record-keeping support and management of the engagement calendar and pipeline.
  • Peer Analysis and Review: Perform peer analysis and carry out regular reviews of stewardship activities within the asset management industry.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Facilitate stakeholder coordination for company engagements and proxy voting; collaborate with other Responsible Investment team members as needed to address client and investment team requirements.
  • Case Study Management: Assist in indexing and maintaining engagement case studies.
  • Procedure Documentation: Maintain the stewardship section of the Responsible Investment team’s Desk Procedure Manual.
  • Committee and Reporting Support: Assist in preparing materials for the Stewardship Committee and stakeholder reporting, including weekly voting reports.
  • Client Query Liaison: Act as the primary contact for client queries escalated to the stewardship team.
Requirements
  • A strong interest in and understanding of sustainability and corporate governance issues.
  • Experience of working in the field of Environmental & Social Governance and sustainability.  
  • Experience of proxy voting is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to absorb and digest large amount of complex information from multiple sources.   
  • Strong ability to apply good judgement and pay attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and experienced in planning workloads against tight timelines.
  • Strong project management skills, managing the prioritisation of competing demands from different stakeholders across different jurisdictions within tight timeframes.
  • Self-motivated/starter and learner with strong interest in sustainable investing. 
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, collaborating with different stakeholders.
