Job description

Purpose of the position:

Responsible to manage the operative processes for Fraud & Origination Services. High capability to manage teams, taking decisions, networking, strategic vision, negotiation and communication.

Accountable for managing Secure and Unsecure products portfolio in order to ensure the definition of appropriate credit policies, origination strategies, processes or specific actions for each aspect of the consumer lifecycle, aligned to risk appetite and focused to ensure delinquent and profitability expected levels.

Design and improve products along with the business area, based on the competitive landscape, market needs and ours.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Convey Credit Risk Appetite along with Business.
  • Design and implement policies / risk strategies aligned with HBSC Mexico credit risk appetite for Secure and Unsecure Products.
  • Provide analysis and commentaries to secure and Unsecure Products Credit risk reports.
  • Annual risk parameters communicated to Business/ Product stakeholders in line with Annual Operating Plan
  • Comply with expected delinquency levels.
  • Ensures that Secure and Unsecure Product credit risk policies and risk appetite are effectively communicated and implemented by the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure that good relationships are maintained with all Customer Group(s)
  • Works effectively with the HSBC Mexico, LATAM, including contribution to the activities to join up regional and global Risk
  • Lead and manage the activity of the team including succession planning, talent management, performance management and improving employee engagement
  • Ensure risk processes are operating effectively in business unit
  • Monitor the implementation of credit risk policies and thresholds at a country level to ensure the realization of HSBC Mexico and Americas credit risk appetite
