We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Team Lead - VUL Business Management & Distribution Optimization. 

Principal Responsibilities

This pivotal role involves overseeing the custody management of Variable Universal Life insurance products, ensuring the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of operational processes. At the same time, the candidate will supporting Chief Partnership Distribution Officer and respective channel heads to optimize and help drive efficiencies through the organization which will lead to simplifying the way we do business and increasing our speed to market. 

The right candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of both the financial and insurance sectors, particularly in handling complex variable life insurance policies. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless administration and reporting of these investment products. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively across departments will be critical in maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence. Additionally, you will analyse market trends and regulatory changes pertinent to variable universal life policies, keeping the organization informed and strategically aligned in an ever-evolving landscape. This position requires a proactive approach to improving processes, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework governing insurance products. 

VUL Business Management

  • Subject Matter Expert for Variable Universal Life (VUL) to ensure we are equipped to support sustainable growth and portfolio management
  • Establish VUL new business and operations playbook across internal departments
  • Collaborate with Channel Heads and BDMs to support growth of VUL solution across multi-channels
  • Oversee the custody management processes, including application process, investment asset review and due diligence checks
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve operational efficiency
  • Monitor and analyse investment performance and client account activities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Act as a liaison between clients, brokers, and custodial banks for effective communication
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on custody management protocols and best practices

Distribution Optimization

  • Help drive efficiencies through the organization which will lead to simplifying and increasing our speed to market
  • Support Chief Partnership Distribution officer and Channel Heads in streamlining front office requirements (in the areas of operational process, guidelines, infrastructure) to relevant departments (underwriting/operations/technology etc)
  • Champion a culture of simplification and efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in custody management, insurance operations, distribution services
  • Strong knowledge of Variable Universal Life products and related regulations
  • Proficient in data analysis and financial reporting tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
