We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Technical Service Manager.

Principal responsibilities
- Own a defined scope of Workspace platform hardware lifecycle and management responsibilities. Lead initiatives to look for/define spec of Workspace platform hardware products or manage existing products (includes end to end lifecycle and transition, issue identification and resolution).
- Develop a deep understanding of all aspects of Workspace platform hardware products. Become the Go-to person to impart product knowledge within the team. Solve product lifecycle related queries.
- Work closely with other Workspace platform teams, 3rd party vendors and suppliers to oversee the entitle lifecycle of Workspace platform hardware products, including product delivery, certification, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Work closely with other Workspace platform teams, 3rd party vendors and suppliers to make sure a smooth and zero gap transition between older and newer generation of hardware products.
- Work closely with other Workspace platform teams, 3rd party vendors and suppliers to maximize the “value for money” for HSBC and look for any potential cost reduction opportunities.
- Evaluate new hardware products from vendors to choose the most suitable ones for HSBC
- Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis to aid decision making about product spec and strategy.
- Work with other stakeholders to capture product utilization, and lead initiatives like client benchmarking, content recommendation studies based on usage and client needs etc. Create / help conceptualize easy to consume Dashboards.
- Maintain an agile mind-set by adopting the practices and processes, leveraging agile delivery methods, associated frameworks (e.g., Lean) and Bank tools (e.g., JIRA) to do this.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the team, focusing on automation, process improvement, how technology is best leveraged and technology shift opportunities.
- Engage with vendors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to meet the HSBC global standards for design and deployment.
- Solid understanding on end user devices (laptop, desktop, tablet, workstations etc), peripherals and their related knowledge
- Ability to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs
- Ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Ability to translate quantitative/qualitative analysis into actionable business strategies, business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
- Facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives and priorities.
- Excellent decision-making and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, senior management, and other stakeholders
- Proven experience of leading the delivery of an excellent customer service and proactively look for innovative ways to improve the service delivered to customers
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Understanding of C&C provided technology solutions
- Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Understanding of the technology marketing and communications, Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Technology Product Management, Strategy and Implementation is desirable.
- Hands on knowledge on desktop/laptop related hardware
- Certifications on MS Windows/Intune
- Knowledge on virtual desktop
- Advanced excel skills on managing complex spreadsheets
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
