Business Finance is a sub function of Group Finance. Finance business partner for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Credit and Lending (C&L)/ Portfolio Management (PM), provides CIB financial analysis both qualitative and quantitative to drive business performance, client profitability and support management decision-making. Works with senior management and Finance partners to provide financial and technical analysis and recommendations regarding current performance, pricing models and business opportunities, and/or internal/external measurements. Leads all reporting, planning and forecasting activities and a key point of contact for various stress testing cycles

As our VP Business Finance Partner -  Credit and Capital Management you will:

  • Manage relationships with key customers 
  • Manage and develop technical financial analysis, modeling and reporting to support business result tracking and decision-making
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and prepare metrics on assigned business area to include product pricing, business lines, channels, customers, new business opportunities, forecasts, incentives, budgets, external forces and trends and/or cost-benefit analysis
  • Drive business performance and efficiencies 
  • Leads all reporting, planning and forecasting efforts 
  • Drive usage and understanding of RWAs along with HORIS/Omnia information across the business 
  • Support the delivery of key business objectives through active participation in digital finance and structural transformation and business projects / sub committees as required
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from senior management, business managers, product development and marketing to prepare analysis and metrics
  • Provide regular analysis and reports as well as analysis to support specific inquiries

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $148,000.00 and $220,000.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Proven financial and/or business analysis experience
  • Well-developed finance business partnering skills preferred 
  • Credit and Lending and or Wholesale experience preferred 
  • Both qualitative and quantitative skillsets
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, business management, related field or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
  • Strong management, interpersonal, analytical, project management, presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, modeling, systems and reporting critical 
  • Proficiency with personal computers and pertinent mainframe systems and software packages. Advanced spreadsheet and database knowledge preferred
  • Proven ability to work with and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and throughout levels of the organization
