Department Profile:

HSBC Asset Management (Japan) Limited is HSBC Group's asset management arm established in Japan in 1985. We provide a wide range of products and solutions investing in various global assets with different investment strategies that meet the investment needs of different individuals and institutional clients.

Role Purpose:

·        Responsible for growing Wholesale Business

·        Manage relationships with fund distributors, mainly with Head Quarters

·        Generate product ideas and execute the launches. 

Principal Accountabilities:

·        Implement and contribute to the overall wholesale distribution strategy as well as key client sales and servicing model

·        Drive sales, AUM and revenue growth for the wholesale business

·        Implement effective sales and servicing strategy to ensure high customer satisfaction level

·        Demonstrate strong investment knowledge and be the trusted advisor for clients

·        Work closely with Product and Marketing team to develop high quality wholesale marketing and sales materials

·        Develop and maintain relationship with key players in the industry to closely monitor market trends

·        Represent wholesale business in internal senior management reports and forums, as well as external conferences and key client events

·        Summarize requests and needs of clients, co-working with other related departments

·        Conduct due diligence of our clients regarding to HSBC Group Policy in cooperation with related departments



Qualifications

·        BA or BS required

·        Fund sales and marketing experience in Japan preferred

·        Knowledge of investment philosophy and process, markets, products, and regulations

·        Highest standard of ethics

·        Strong project management skills and well-rounded marketing skill

·        Deadline and detailed-oriented

·        Excellent communication skills – written and oral, presentation skill and experience

·        High inter-personal skill - ability to work with teams, portfolio management, sales and business heads

·        Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills

·        Native level of Japanese and business level of English is required as language skills
