We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Taiwan Investment and Research team, title for hiring subject to selected candidate’s professional qualifications and credentials.

Report to: SVP, Head of Investment and Research

Role Purpose:

To implement Asset Management's investment processes, e.g. through appropriate cash management and order management; to liaise with appropriate local functions (e.g. Operations and Data Management) and local vendors (e.g. Back and Middle-Office); to co-ordinate the work of junior Fund Manager Assistants.

Principal Responsibilities:

-Manage multiple Taiwan equity/balanced funds

-Conduct research on Taiwan investments

-Implement of the Taiwan investment processes

-Cover responsible markets and deliver in-depth analysis

-Comply with group policy and local regulation

-Represent Taiwan investment strategy to internal and external clients

-Maintain relationship with internal and external clients

-Provide marketing materials

-Support marketing events including media interviews, seminars, and joint calls

-Cooperate with other investment teams and share market view and research idea with teammates

-Establish constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers

-Refine the process with better efficiency and less occurrence of errors

-Reduce manual risk with higher awareness of risk control, and with proper system control

-Minimum 4 years of research experience on Taiwan industries or equivalent for registration per Taiwan regulatory requirements

-Minimum 2 years of record on managing Taiwan equity funds or equivalent for registration per Taiwan regulatory requirements

-Fluent English

-Programming skill such as Excel VBA preferred

-License requirements: 1.證券投資信託及顧問事業之業務員 or 2.證券商高級業務員+投信投顧業務員(一科) 投信投顧相關法規(含自律規範) & 金融市場常識與職業道德測驗合格 (within 3 months after onboard date if not already having a valid FSE)
